Shading is eeeeevil!

So, I've been working on my faerie drawing on and off all day (in Photoshop), and so far all I've done for colouring and shading is the skin. It's semi-decent, for something I did anyway, but the face is terrible :( Maybe I should post it here and let people dissect it :P I tried to make highlights around the cheeks, nose, chin, etc., but it just looks...really odd lol

Thank goodness I got a tablet, otherwise I'd be having a breakdown right about now :P

There should be an 'amazing shading' fruit :P
